The counseling sessions I provide follow a similar approach to other Naturopathic appointments. We begin by addressing the challenges that are most significant to you and systematically explore how these challenges manifest as behaviors or patterns in your life. Our focus is on identifying and addressing the root causes and underlying emotional patterns.
However, it’s important to note that these sessions are not intended to be a slow and exhaustive rehashing of past events. Such approaches have shown limited effectiveness. While past experiences may arise during our sessions, we work with them as they naturally come up.
In general, our emphasis is on unresolved emotions that were not properly processed initially. Most importantly, we examine how these unaddressed emotions influence and shape your current behavioral patterns. By employing techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), fostering acceptance, awareness, mindfulness, and cultivating loving kindness, we take the most direct path towards restoring optimal overall health.
